La Cascada I

While working as a designer in another firm, I helped design and was in charge of the construction documents for this terracing custom home in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Completed integrated into it’s site a waterfall meanders between rocks and boulders, ending in a pool – spa area.

La Cascada II

he view from the cooking station was enough to inspire great seafood feasts….. so we stayed on sipping Sangria and eating Paella well into the next morning. What a great experience it was to be part of the team that created this for our American clients.

La Cascada III

Ten foot high teak wood doors disappeared into wall pockets. This complete opening up of the interior space to the outside was what I saw as the ultimate expression of the outdoor room. It’s such a natural fit to many tropical and temperate climates throughout the world. It would later inspire me to create an open air custom home for clients on the island of Kauai. Trade winds on Kauai would be the impetus for this later project.
